Warframe Credit Farming Guide – The Index

Warframe The Index – Best Credit Farming Guide

Credits play a very important role in the game. Warframe has two important currencies one being the credits and the other being platinum. Platinum is something that you might require once in a while, but credits are something that can’t be ignored at all, not having credits will halt your progress. To farm credits fast and easily we have created this guide to help you.

Credit Farming Guide Warframe

It all depends on the style that you like, if you want fast and easy credits; there are a few things that you would need:

  • 3 Day Credit Booster
  • Good Tanky Frame
  • Powerful weapon

Best Place for Farming Credits?

Best place for farming credits is The Index @ Nef Anyo, there’s no doubt about it. The recent changes made to the Index has made it more fun. Earlier it used to be tedious due to the bots submitting the points even after the goal has been completed, all this has been fixed now. Also, you don’t lose any credits if you are not able to complete the desired goal which should really help the new comers to the game.

Now the newer changes allow you to immediately cash out as soon as the required points are submitted. I like to take Mesa and my Sicarus Prime, thanks to Arcane Energize, I never run out of energy.

Below is the required investment and returns for the Index (double return with Credit Booster).

Risk Wager Profit Point Target
Low Credits64‍ 30,000 Credits64‍ 75,000 50 Points
Medium Credits64‍ 40,000 Credits64‍ 135,000 75 Points
High Credits64‍ 50,000 Credits64‍ 200,000 100 Points

Best Frame for Credit Farming Index

I would say the best frames are the tanky ones which can carry a lot of points and not die quickly due to the stress. I personally use Mesa a lot due to the press 4 to destroy everyone power. It is very easy to kill everyone and Mesa doesn’t eat up energy very fast.

The second choice of mine would be Rhino, just build for Strength and kill/collect points. I would recommend you to go with a few clan mates for doing this, one of you can focus on killing and the other one can run around and submit points.

Best Solo Credit Farm?

Earlier my Solo farm place used to be Hieracon, Pluto with a credit booster where I could easily get 50k credits with each run. But now the Index is extremely good there’s no denying to that, time by time you will find people running it and that would make it really easy for you to complete it.

Mods Rewarded in The Index

Below are the mods that are rewarded in the index.

  • Kinetic Ricochet (Tetra)
  • Medi-Pet Kit (Kubrow/Kavat)
  • Pain Threshold (Warframe)
  • Shield Charger (Sentinel)
  • Static Discharge (Prova)
  • Thermagnetic Shells (Detron)
  • Tether Grenades (Penta)
  • Flux Overdrive (Flux Rifle)

Warframe Performance Guide: How To Fix Lag & FPS Drops

Warframe is old now, the game was announced back in 2013, hundreds of updates have taken place. The game was different back then if you compare it from the build that we have now. Even then I would say Warframe is one of the best-optimized games that still run well on my PC, around 200+ FPS at all times.

However, we cannot ignore the fact that there are some users who might face lagging and FPS dropping issues from time-to-time. This can happen due to various reasons that are not related to the game or the developers. In this article, we will find out how to fix lagging and FPS dropping issues in the game.

How To Fix Lag & FPS Drops in Warframe

I went to the steam and official page for the system requirements of the game, but couldn’t find the recommended hardware. The game dates back to 2013 so that information won’t be relevant anyway. Let me begin with my FPS numbers and hardware.

PC #1

  • Intel Core i7 8700
  • Zotac RTX 2060 AMP
  • Windows 10

I have locked my FPS at 144, the FPS doesn’t drop below that. Highest possible settings.

PC #2

  • Core i3 8100
  • Zotac RTX 2060
  • Windows 10

The game runs at 200+ FPS at all times.

PC #3

  • Core i5 4440
  • GTX 1060
  • Windows 10

The game runs at constant 100-150 FPS, the number drops sometimes when I visit Plains of Eidolon or any of the open-world areas with too many enemies.

All the PCs mentioned above are running at the same configuration as I have mentioned in this article. I will also be publishing the best settings article that you can follow.

One thing you should always remember is that, the game won’t perform the same way on every computer. If you face troubles or lagging in game, the best way to fix it is by toning down the game settings first.

Enough about the game, let’s find out how to fix lagging and FPS drops.

Configure Your Graphics Card Settings

I have mentioned the settings for both AMD and Nvidia users below.

Settings for Nvidia Users

  • Fire up Nvidia Control Panel
  • Click on Manage 3D Settings > Program Settings
  • Find “Warframe”
  • Set Monitor Tech: G-Sync
  • Maximum Pre-rendered frames: 2
  • Threaded optimization: On
  • Power Management: Prefer Maximum Performance
  • Texture Filtering – Quality:  Performance

Settings for AMD users

  • Anti-Aliasing Mode: Use Application settings
  • Anti-aliasing Method: Multisampling
  • Morphological Filtering: Off
  • Anisotropic Filtering Mode: Use application settings
  • Texture Filtering Quality: Performance
  • Surface Format Optimization: On
  • Wait for V-sync: Off
  • OpenGL Triple Buffering: Off
  • Shader Cache: AMD optimized
  • Tesselation Mode: Override application settings
  • Maximum Tesselation Level: Off
  • GPU Workload: Graphics
  • Chill: Off
  • Frame Rate Target Control: Disabled

These settings will work any game that you play on your computer.

Perform Software Related Updates

Outdated software invites trouble, make sure your software is always up to date.

Update Device Drivers

Nvidia and AMD are known for pushing device drive updates time-to-time. You can use the control panel to check for updates and install them. You can use the same to downgrade driver in case something goes wrong. I have added the links of the official websites below.

  • Nvidia Drivers Download
  • AMD Drivers Download

Update Windows

People don’t update their Windows machines enough, there are constant updates from Microsoft to make sure everything runs as it is supposed to. Some time back, there was a memory leak bug that lead to Cortana using a huge amount of RAM, making other applications crash.

Go To Control Panel > Windows Updates > Check for Updates

Disable Applications

There are multiple apps that are known to tinker with gaming performance.

Memory Hogging Apps

Chrome is a great example of a Memory hogging application.

Using the task manager, find out what applications are using the most RAM, Disk, and Network. Shut them down while you are running Warframe for an instant boost in FPS. You can’t terminate a process that is started by Windows, so figure out why it might be using too much of your machine.

Update: I had a process running called Microsoft Software Protection Platform Service or (sppsvc.exe) eating all of my CPU. After searching around, I found out that this app checks for the authenticity of the software installed on our system. I had to disable it using Regedit to fix this issue.

Disable Discord Overlay

Discord overlay is not something I use at all times, I use a two-monitor setup so this might not be the same for you. The application leads to FPS drops sometimes, maybe due to the constant floating overlay. I just went ahead and disabled it and my FPS got increased by around 20-30.

To disable the discord overlay, just follow the steps given below:

  • Fire up Discord
  • Click on Overlay
  • Click the “Enable in-game overlay” radio to turn it off.

Also, disable Hardware Acceleration

  • User Settings > Appearance
  • Click the “Hardware Acceleration” radio to turn it off.

Disable Windows Game-Bar

Game Bar is only important if you like recording your games and making highlights. I mainly use Nvidia highlights so the tool is useless for me, below are the steps you can follow.

  • Right-click on the start button
  • Click Settings > Gaming
  • Select Game Bar > Click the switch below Record game clips. Screenshots, and broadcast using Game Bar, this will turn it Off.

Other Methods To Boost FPS

Below are a few non-conventional methods that have boosted my FPS from time-to-time.

Verify Your Game Files

If you have a broken download, the game performance can suffer by a lot. To fix this problem, almost all game launchers now have a verify game files option. To fix this, follow the instructions given below.

  • Launch the game
  • Click on the gear icon > under Download Cache
  • Click the Verify button and wait for the launcher to do its thing.

Warning: Do not verify game files from the steam client, you have to do it using the Warframe Client. Steam and Warframe client have different builds, verifying them from Steam will lead to a broken download. You’ll have to completely delete every Warframe file to fix it.

Delete Temporary Windows Files

Windows has a temp folder that collects garbage, these comes from different installation, website downloads and stuff.

  • Fire up the command prompt, press CTLR + R
  • A file explorer window will open up, just press CLTR+A and delete everything.
  • Most of the files will be deleted, you might get an error saying that some are in use. Just ignore it and move on.

Increase Game Priority

This is a really old method that I used to boost my FPS in games. The change is not big but it is noticeable.

  • Start Task Manager
  • Locate Warframe
  • Right Click > Go to details
  • Right click on Warframe.exe > Set Priority > High

Optimize Your Install

You will get a prompt every time you complete downloading a new update.

“Speed up mission loading and trim wasted hard drive space (1971 MB)?”

This is the message you’ll get, the message also says that it will take a while to complete. It does, it does take a while.

How to Fix – Warframe Launcher Update Failed Error

This might be one of those errors that every one of us has come across. While downloading the Saint of Altra update, I saw this error again. The error type was different every time I tried to start the download.

This is really frustrating when you are trying to start the game and check out the new content. In this article, we will figure out how to fix this problem.

List of Errors

Below are the errors that I came across before I figured out a fix:

Error 1

Update Failed!

Some content updates could not be downloaded from our servers.

The update will be restarted shortly…

Error 2

Update Failed!

The content servers are temporarily unavailable.

ERROR_INTERNET_CANNOT_CONNECT.

The update will be restarted shortly…

Error 3

Update Failed!

The content servers are temporarily unavailable!

ERROR_HTTP_INVALID_SERVER_RESPONSE

The update will be restarted shortly…

There are many variants of this error but the only thing these errors lead to is a broken download. Error 2 and 3 are related to server problems which you can only fix by waiting or restarting the launcher. Whenever there is a new update, almost everyone starts downloading which increases the Warframe server load leading to failed downloads.

Read: How To Fix Lagging Issue in Warframe

There’s only a download failed error, but fixes are multiple. Try each and every one of these fixes until your problem is gone.

How To Fix – Warframe Launcher Update Failed Errors!

Let’s figure out how to fix this issue once and for all.

Fix Your Internet Connection

9/10 times when you get failed downloads is due to a bad internet connection. A working connection which you can use for browsing is not necessarily a good connection, you have to take factors such as Ping and Packet loss as well in consideration.

Check whether your connection is working as it is supposed to using Speedtest.net.

If not

  • Restart your router
  • Turn off bandwidth-hogging apps such as Netflix and Twitch for a while
  • Switch to a wired connection

Fix Network Errors

After doing the step above, you have moved to this one. That means your problem hasn’t been fixed yet. Here are a few commands that you can run to fix your connection.

Start command prompt

Type the below commands one-by-one

ipconfig/flushdns

ipconfig/release

ipconfig/release6

ipconfig/renew

After doing all this, fire up the Warframe Launcher. If the issue is still there, move to the next solution.

Reinstall Windows C++ Redistributable Libraries

This was something I didn’t expect would fix the problem, but it did. If the internet connection isn’t your problem follow the steps given below to fix the C++ Libraries

  • Fire up Control Panel > Programs and Features > Uninstall a Program
  • Find “Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable Package” > Click Modify. Repair each version of the library.

You can also download the latest version of Visual C++ Redistributable from here.

A user from Warframe Forums also recommended that you run “sfc /scannow” after repairing the files. What this does is check your hard drive for any bad sector and files.

Change Language in Warframe Launcher

This fixed my problem back when the War Within update dropped. To do this follow the steps given below:

  • Fire up Warframe
  • When you are on the Launcher screen, click on the downwards pointing arrow as shown in the screenshot below
  • Switch between multiple languages back and forth
  • The launcher will reload and hopefully, your problem will be gone.

Disable Your Anti-virus or Whitelist Warframe.exe

It is possible that your current antivirus application is blocking the Warframe servers from communicating with your computer. You can open your antivirus application and add Launcher.exe, Warframe.x64.exe, and Warframe.exe to their whitelist.

Disabling might be a good idea before you whitelist the application to make sure this is the thing causing you trouble.

Fix Corrupted Installation -Verify Warframe Game Cache

Warning: Do not verify your game files using Steam. The version on Steam and Warframe Launcher is different. This will create a conflict between both leading to a never-ending error loop. To fix this you’ll have to completely delete Warframe and reinstall.

A corrupted download can create a lot of problems. Verifying Game Cache will look for corrupted files and replace them after downloading them.

Start the Warframe Launcher > Click on the gear icon on upper right > Under Download Cache, click “Verify”.

Switch Between DirectX 10 and 11

I haven’t figured out yet, how does that help us fix this error. But when I was looking for fixes related to the error, some people on Reddit actually got rid of the problem after doing this.

Start the Warframe Launcher > Click on the gear icon on upper right > Under Graphics API, select DirectX 10 or 11. This will reload the launcher.

Reset Warframe Game Cache

This fix helped me when I was trying to download an hotfix just after a major update. You will keep on running into different error messages as I had mentioned in the starting of this article.

To fix this:

  • Disable Bulk-download from launcher settings
  • Head to Steam > Library > Right Click on Warframe > Properties
  • Click on Local Files and then “Browse Local Files”
  • Here you will find a Cache.Windows folder, rename it to Cache.Windows1
  • Start the Launcher

Download the Update using a VPN

I have an Asian ISP, not reliable at all so I have connection related problems all the time. Almost everyone who uses the internet nowadays uses a VPN.

If your problem isn’t solved after doing everything that I have mentioned above, this might be the thing you need to do. From my understanding, the problem occurs when the game servers and ISP have conflict while communicating, this can be fixed by using a VPN.

Most of the VPNs nowadays offer a trial that you can use to download the game. You can check out Cloudflare, Namecheap, they have some good solutions.

I have listed eight possible solutions to the problem. If you are still getting the error then you can try updating Windows, Disabling your Malware application, and so on. The last resort here would be re-downloading the whole game.

Which one should I buy?

I always like to farm my primes by burning through the hoards of relics that I have and have accumulated. It’s a lot of fun and you get a lot of stuff that you can use later on. Sometimes people will be running vaulted relics as well in public games which is great for farming platinum. Any trash that you get from these relics can always be traded to Baro Ki’Teer.

Just keep in mind to not get any overpriced vaulted items, DE is always making changes and unvaulting long vaulted items. Just keep a check on what will be coming next and prepare accordingly. This is just a supply-demand thing.

How To Enable Colorblind Mode in Warframe

Colourblind Mode was a much-requested feature from the community to help players that have colourblindness. The feature has finally been announced and was added to the game with the last hotfix. I am not sure what took them so long, but according to reddit and warframe posts, they have done a bad job with the colours.

Anyhow, in this article I have mentioned steps that you can follow to enable the Colorblind Mode in Warframe.

How To Enable Colorblind Mode in Warframe

  • Launch Game
  • Enter your login details
  • Press Escape > Go to Options > Display
  • Adjust Color Blind Compensation

If you don’t like the colours, then there’s another way which is Nvidia’s Freestyle Filters. Launch your game and using the filters you can adjust the Deuteranopia, Protanopia and Tritanopia strength. Use whatever setting works best for you. I am not colourblind myself so I can’t personally test and tell you if who is doing a better job.

The game description for the setting is:

Modifies game and interface colors to increase visibility for common forms of color blindness.

  • Protanopia: A setting for people with Protanopia, who have reduced sensitivity for red lights.
  • Deuteranopia: A setting for people with Deuteranopia, who have reduced sensitivity to green lights.
  • Tritanopia: A setting for people with Tritanopia, who have a reduced sensitivity to blue lights.

Reddit user r/Gratefulhost posted on Reddit saying “The new colourblindness modes are exceptionally bad“. The thread doesn’t have many upvotes, I hope changes are made accordingly to make it better for users.

Do let me know using the comment section below if this setting has helped you out in any way. Changes will be made for sure, but for that to happen you will have to report it.

Warframe Trading Guide – Tradable Items, Process & Trade Tax

Warframe Trading Guide – The best part of this game which I like is Trading, today’s guide will be based on enlightening everyone regarding Warframe Trading. The word trading is self explanatory, there’s not much to add to it. In Warframe, two tenno can exchange parts for platinum or a tradable part with one another. Maximum of 5 parts or minimum of 1 part/mod can be traded at once.

Warframe Trading Guide

Trading opens up for you when you complete your MR2 test. Read this guide for details on the test.

The number of trades that you can perform in a day is equal to your mastery rank. So, If I am MR22, I can perform 22 trades in a day. Founders get additional two trades per day, that’s the founder perk that you get for supporting the game in early stages.

Where can I trade?

If you want to trade with a fellow tenno, you need to head to a trading post which can be located in your Clan Dojo. You can also head to Maroo’s Bazar for trading but you would have to pay hub tax which is few credits (10% tax).

What can I trade?

  • All Prime Warframe Parts can be traded
  • Alad V Nav Cordinates
  • Unranked weapons from Baro ki’teer
  • Ayatan Statues and Stars
  • Rivens
  • Captura Scenes
  • Focus Lenses
  • Arcane Helmets
  • Special Weapons Parts from Invasions such as Karak Wraith, Snipertron Vandal
  • Event Weapons Parts such as Imperator Vandal
  • Relics of any refinement
  • Kubrow and Kavat Imprints
  • Unranked Syndicate Weapons such as Sancti Tigris, Vaykor Marelok, Telos Boltace etc
  • Platinum in exchange for parts.

What Can I not trade?

Special weapons can only be traded if they have No affinity, Lens or Orokin Catalyst installed.
  • Dex Weapons
  • Fully Crafted weapons/parts
  • Special Weapons with Affinity or Orokin Catalyst installed
  • Platinum for platinum
  • Forma
  • Orokin Reactor & Orokin Catalyst.
  • Starting account platinum (to prevent users from farming platinum by creating new accounts)
  • Regular Warframe Parts
  • Resources such as Nitain Extract, Endo, Kuva, Argon crystal etc.

Some new players might get confused with the “Fully Crafted weapons/parts” point. Let’s take an example, if I have a Oberon Prime Neuroptics and I craft it using the foundry, I still haven’t crafted Oberon Prime Warframe but the neuro I did. So that can’t be traded anymore.

You cannot trade special weapons/blueprints with mastery requirement higher than the tenno’s MR rank you are trading with.

Trading Tax

Each trade consists of a Trading Tax charged in amount of certain credits. The credit tax depends on the rarity of the item that is being traded. A clan can also charge extra tax for using the trading post (Most clans don’t).

The trading tax varies from 2,000 to 1,000,000. There are four tiers

  • Tier 1 (Common)
  • Tier 2 (Uncommon)
  • Tier 3 (Rare)
  • Tier 4 (Legendary)

Primed Mods such as Primed Flow are considered as Legendary Items and require a credit fee of 1,000,000 for trading. If you are on the receiving end for platinum then you will be charged 500 credits per 1 platinum that you receive. So, If someone sends me 100 platinum I would have to pay 50,000 credits as credit tax.

  • Daily Reward Mods such as Primed Vigor, Primed Fury, Primed Shred cannot be traded.

Warframe Trading Lingo/Terminology

  • WTB – Want to buy
  • WTS – Want to sell
  • WTT – Want to trade / want to trade for
  • PC – Price Check

Warframe Launcher – Slow Download Speed Fix

Warframe Slow Download Speed Fix – Warframe uses their native launcher for downloading new updates and content. Sometimes the launcher doesn’t actually use the full speed of your network leading to frustration, especially when you’re trying to get access to a new quest or frame.

There can be multiple reasons why this could be happening, before diving into the technical stuff make sure you don’t have any issue from your end.

Important: Whenever there’s a new update, there can be issues with the Warframe servers. If there are issues with their own servers then you cannot do much other than waiting. Everyone is trying to download the new update, which can lead to server load leading to slow download speeds.

Switch to Cable Connection

Wi-Fi isn’t exactly known for its stability; one user starts downloading something and everyone on the network starts facing issues. If you can’t switch to a wired connection, just ask everyone to turn off their bandwidth leeching apps for a while.

Almost every router nowadays has a client that lets you check who is using the most bandwidth.

Close all other apps while downloading

You never know what other apps might be using your connection in the background. Use task manager to find out what app is using your connection and shut it down.

Also keep an eye on Windows Update, Windows is pretty notorious for downloading updates only when you need your connection the most. This might not be the case for everyone, but this happens with me every single time.

Switch to a VPN

I’ve had this problem so many times, I’d get around 3-4 MBPS with my connection, but as soon as I switch to New York using my VPN I’d start getting full speed that is 10-20MBPS. This might not work for everyone, but it certainly does for me. You can also use this to fix the file download error with Warframe Launcher.

I am not going to link to any programs from here, I’ll let you select whichever program you like.

Result

Just before writing this article I was facing this issue, I just followed the steps that I have given above and the result is below.

Hope this article helped you out 🙂

How To Access Cambion Drift

Heart of Deimos update just dropped for all platforms except Switch, here are the patch notes. The update size is 3GB and brings a lot of stuff, such as Xaku the new frame, new infested open-world, tons of bug fixes, a new warframe system that lets you change your warframe powers. We will be covering everything about the update in the coming days.

We are already working on the Heart of Deimos Walkthrough that you can check right away.

How To Access Cambion Drift

Note: Make sure you have unlocked the Mars and Earth Junction before you try to access the quest.

So, Deimos is the new planet added with this update. Cambion Drift is a node on the Deimos planet which you will have to unlock by playing the other nodes. For me it is locked and I will be completing the connected missions to access it.

Cambion Drift is the open-world infested area that was talked about a lot. It will be unlocked once you complete the Horend and Phlegyas nodes. These missions are capture and exterminate ones, completing them is really easy.

Unlocking Cambion Drift is really important since it is where you get to start the new Heart of Deimos quest that awards the Xaku Blueprint.

How To Access and Use the Helminth System

One of the main highlights of the Heart of the Deimos update is the Helminth System. For those who don’t know about it, this system allows you to switch Warframe Powers (not ultimate).

At first, I thought, players will be granted access to it right away. But that is not the case, you have to do a few things before you can actually access it. First thing being, you have to complete the quest. After that, you will have to a few more things that are covered in detailed below.

How to Get Access To the Helminth System

There are a few things that you need to complete in order to access it:

  • Mastery Rank Requirement: MR 8
  • Rank 3 with Entrati Syndicate
  • Tokens and Standing to rank up

Earning standing will take a while since this requires you to complete multiple bounties. For efficiency, take a squad and breeze through missions.

Once you have done what’s required above, visit Son, and purchase the Helminth Segment Blueprint from him. The blueprint costs 15000 standing, you’ll need; 50000 credits, 5 Purple Velocipod Tags, 20 Adramal Alloy, 5 Saturated Muscle Mass and 15 Ganglion. After crafting the segment, install it in your Orbiter.

How To Farm Son, Daughter, Father & Mother Tokens

In Deimos, you’ll require Tokens to buy certain things and also level up with Entrati Syndicate. There is a full family of Vendors at Deimos; the son, daughter, mother, father and the grandmother. All these NPCs handle different things spread across the map.

There’s no such thing as farming these fast which I’ve seen in titles of some YouTube videos. You’ll just have to play a lot of Warframe, that’s it.

Note: The hardest tokens to get would be the Son Tokens, these require you to conserve animals. The easiest ones to get is mother tokens and daughter tokens.

How To Farm Son, Daughter, Father & Mother Tokens

Below, I’ve covered how you can gather tokens for different NPCs in Deimos. Hopefully, that helps everyone out in understanding how it works;

  • Mother Tokens (100 Standing) – Complete bounties from her and gain standing, this is probably the fastest and the easiest one. Recommended taking a squad to breeze through the missions. I did one bounty to farm Xaku parts and got like 100 tokens from one successful run.
  • Father Tokens (100 Standing) – Use the Parts Requisition for trading resources found on Cambion Drift.
  • Daughter Tokens (100 Standing) – The Daughter Token system revolves around fishing in Cambion Drift, this one is also easy if you know how to fish. Use this guide for the best fishing place for Deimos.
  • Son Tokens (500 Standing) – As mentioned earlier, pretty hard to get but certainly worth it. You can earn son tokens by conserving animals on Cambion Drift. Use Tranq rifle to put animals to sleep and then conserve them.
  • Grandmother Tokens (1500 Standing) – Trade her a selection of tokens for a grandmother token.
  • Otak Tokens (100 Standing) – Exchange mined resources with him to gain standing.

I will be sharing the best fishing spots and best mining spots for Deimos soon. Currently, testing what the best places are, make sure to bookmark the website and come back to later to check.
